"Message of the Void"

Produced By Daniel Wonacott, the upcoming E.P. is to be released on

Die Laughing Records June 21st

ORANGE COUNTY, CA: "The Void is a place where, unfortunately, everyone ends up at least once in their life," states bassist and backing vocalist Oli Navarro when asked about the reason for the name of the upcoming six-song E.P. on Die Laughing Records. "Some people stay there and others make it out. For the ones that can return, they come back with knowledge and a message."

"Message of the Void," which was produced and co-engineered by Daniel Wonacott (Finch, Speak The Truth), and mastered by Pete Dee (The Adicts), was recorded at A to Z Studios in LaVerne, CA and French Street Studios in Santa Ana, CA. "Working on this E.P. was a real pleasure" states Wonacott. "We were able to approach the process in a kind of old school way, developing the songs in pre-production, and putting a good amount of time into the arrangements. It allowed us to get a vibe that feels pretty unique to my ear. I feel like we captured everyone's personalities well and songs can stand on their own and it still feels like a kick ass record." The E.P. was also co-engineered by Alex "Grizz" Lenares (Finch, Speak the Truth) which lead vocalist Erica Torres speaks highly of. "We worked alongside Dan and Grizz to tighten up the lyrics and work out the soft spots in the melodies. I am very proud of how this album was produced and couldn't be any happier."

The label, which is run by long time Screaming Bloody Mary's guitarist and punk rock icon Dave Dalton and co-partnered with former Orange Peal Records CEO Rob Trisler have been dedicated to the punk rock scene in Northern California and has grown with distribution though Sony/ The Orchard. In addition, the band is happy to be affiliated with the label that shows its passion behind the music they work with.

The reason for the band name "Frequency Within" is best described by drummer Jeannette Lawlor: "I wanted to be a part of something that was truly felt. Our emotions, our deepest fears and struggles in life and how we overcame them. We wanted to show people how to survive the toughest things in life and that you’re not alone. All of our frequencies have a purpose and our faith has shown us that to this day."

The band's debut album titled "Blissfulmess" was released on July 30th 2016 and was followed by a western regional US tour. The band performed on the road for the rest of 2016 and most of 2017. In November 2017 the band released a video for the song "Vindictive" and shortly thereafter in February 2018 signed a deal with Die Laughing Records and released the single "Coma" which was later followed up with a tour and producing a video for that song.

"Dave and Rob are always very excited and supportive of our music." says guitarist and backing vocalist Jenna Alonzo. "Thankfully they have given us the freedom to create the music we love." Vocalist and rhythm guitarist Erica Torres also praises the label staff. "Die Laughing Records has been so supportive of what we are trying to achieve from booking shows, pushing out music, or just being all around supportive. We couldn't be anymore happier with our label."

"The band shows a drive to accomplish whatever task regardless of how "hard of work" or "tedious" it would be to accomplish, states co-owner Rob Trisler. “I feel fortunate to be able to help release "Message of the Void" with Dave and Die Laughing Records."
